KU exam dept makes serious blunder, deprives master’s student of first position

KARACHI: A serious blunder of examination department of the Karachi University has surfaced as a student of MA Politics final year has been deprived of his righteous first position.

As per the marks sheet released by the university, Syed Muhammad Fahd got more numbers than the person who was declared first with 647 marks in MA Politics 2017 examination result.

Fahd had got 673 aggregated marks and deserved to be declared as first in the exams. While, according to the results the first position holder, Savera Yousuf, obtained 647 marks, the number second position holder, Kauser, got 630 marks and the third position holder, Saba Latif, obtained 627 marks.

Mismarking was also reported with Fahd by the examination department in 2016 examination result. He was given 6.2 numbers, but after he applied for scrutiny of the paper he had got 62.

The student has appealed to the vice chancellor of KU for official recognition of his first position.
