Actress Aisha Khan has made the shock announcement that she is leaving the entertainment industry.
“With great pleasure and humility, I have decided to bid farewell to our wonderful media industry. I am bowing out with immense satisfaction and a lot of pride to move on to the next phase of my life,” the actress wrote on social media.
“At this point I’d like to thank everyone who I have worked with in the industry and people outside of it especially my fans and well wishers who have supported me unconditionally and appreciated my work.
She added, “I have grown and developed and met many wonderful people in this industry to whom I’m ever so grateful. I have always tried to keep my professional and personal life separate and request everyone to understand please.”
“I would also like to let my colleagues and friends know about the limitation that I might have had in accepting new projects since 2016 out of which a few scripts stayed with me for a long time. My apologies. As I move on in life to discover how fate unfolds, I would request my well wishers to remember me and my parents in their prayers.”
Aisha made her television debut eighteen years ago with the PTV drama serial ‘Tum Yehi Kehna’ and went on to have a very lucrative career on television. She also starred in the film ‘Jawani Phir Nahi Ani’.

Aisha’s announcement took the industry by surprise, with many ofher co-stars like Ahsan Khan, Syed Jibran and Zahid Ahmed expressing their shock on her Facebook post.
Mansha Pasha said, “What?! The industry is going to lose one of its brightest stars and one of the best actors. However, respect your decision if it makes you happy.”
“But what about us? We had to do one more together!” exclaimed Tooba Siddiqui. “Shine on my friend in whatever you feel happy in, may you lead ur life on best choices.”
“Aisha, it takes a lot of courage to take this step. So proud of you. Great luck for [the] future, but we all will miss [your] on-screen magic,” remarked Azfar Rehman.
Veteran actress Samina Peerzada said “I love you n will always cherish knowing you bless you n wish you everything you wish for hugs n piyaar.”
Model Cybil Chowdhry: “Very very good luck to your bright and happy future!!! I wish you the best in your future endeavors!!! Aisha Khan love hugs and prayers!”
Model Ali Safina said: “We haven’t worked together and this can’t happen. I hope for a miracle to happen and to be casted alongside you in a project that will be a proper last inning. However, if that doesn’t happen thank you for being you and setting standards that all the actors after you will try to achieve. All the best for your future and yes make a comeback whenever you feel like it. The screen, the industry and your fans love you.”
